2025 NFL QB Cards to Add to Your Collection

Level up your collection with rookie cards from the game’s best quarterbacks.

The 2025 NFL season begins in just a few days! Panini and Topps are releasing a ton of new football card products, and Titans quarterback Cam Ward leads this year’s rookie class. Want to add to your collection but not sure where to begin? Start by adding 2025 NFL QB cards to your collection.

What Types of Football Cards Are the Most Valuable?

Rookie cards are the focus of any sports card collection. For football specifically, the hobby loves quarterbacks. That’s why we suggest focusing on 2025 NFL QB cards.

Panini Prizm is one of the most popular releases of every season, and a Silver Prizm rookie card is a staple of every collection. Prizm also has a wide array of numbered parallels, a deep rookie autograph checklist, and the iconic Color Blast inserts. Additionally, Prizm also comes in both retail and hobby formats. This allows every collector to get in on the fun, regardless of their budget.

No matter the season, the Rated Rookie line in Donruss Optic and Rookie Ticket Autograph from Contenders are also some of the most popular football cards. For high-end card collectors, the Rookie Patch Autograph from National Treasures is the favorite.

Last but certainly not least are short-printed inserts. Along with Color Blasts, Kabooms and Downtowns are some of the biggest case hits. You can find the Kaboom inserts in Absolute, while Downtowns are in both Donruss and Donruss Optic. Even if it’s not a rookie card, these inserts can still be worth hundreds or thousands of dollars!

2025 NFL QB Cards: Rookies

The 2025 NFL Draft didn’t have the typical star power we’ve seen in recent years, but there are still some worthy rookie quarterbacks to collect. Number one overall pick Cam Ward leads the way, but don’t lose sight of Jaxson Dart and Shedeur Sanders.

Cam Ward’s biggest cards so far have been Select XRC redemptions, with one selling for $6,100 in July. The Titans quarterback has a few cards in the recent 2025 Donruss Elite and Origins releases, but don’t expect to pull any ink from Panini products. Ward signed an exclusive deal with Fanatics, so his autographs will only be in Topps products.

A strong preseason performance has Jaxson Dart catching collectors’ attention. Unlike Ward, there’s no shortage of Dart autographs. His autographed cards have been produced by Panini, Topps, Wild Card, Leaf, and Onyx.

Shedeur Sanders may have fallen down draft boards, but he has the hype and name recognition that boost rookie card values. One of his Select XRC redemptions sold for $10,000 in June, and a card from the Sports Illustrated for Kids magazine sold for $10,000 in August. Expect his card values to shoot up once he gets on the field.

2025 NFL QB Cards: The Superstars

If you’re looking to buy 2025 NFL QB cards from the best of the best, look no further than Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow.

Patrick Mahomes’ rookie cards can be found in 2017 Panini products. He also has collegiate and unlicensed cards in Sage and Leaf products. Although less desirable, these are a way to add a Mahomes rookie card to your collection without breaking the bank. If you prefer the three-time Super Bowl champion in a Chiefs uniform, his Rated Rookie cards from 2017 Donruss and Donruss Optic are a fan favorite. If money is no object, the best Mahomes rookie cards are Rookie Patch Autographs from 2017 National Treasures, Flawless, and Immaculate.

2018 Panini releases are where you’ll find Josh Allen’s rookie cards. Prizm and Donruss offer the classic rookie card design, but the Bills quarterback also has solid options in 2018 Select and Rookies & Stars. Along with the usual high-end RPAs from National Treasures and Immaculate, Allen also has mid-tier autographed patch cards in 2018 One and Certified.

Lamar Jackson’s rookie cards are also found in 2018 Panini products. Beyond the typical Rated Rookie, Jackson has plenty of affordable rookie cards to choose from. 2018 Phoenix and Spectra give you shine, while Absolute and Contenders have memorabilia. 2018 One and Limited supply on-card ink with multi-color patches. And as is usually the case, Jackson’s most valuable RPA comes from 2018 National Treasures.

Joe Burrow was the number one pick in a deep rookie class, and there are literally hundreds of variations of his rookie cards from 2020 Panini products. Burrow’s Prizm rookie stands above the rest, but there are other very popular cards from 2020 Donruss Optic, Select, Mosaic, and Phoenix. Rookie Patch Autographs from National Treasures and Immaculate are Burrow’s most valuable, but you can find less expensive RPAs in Origins and Limited.
