The 10 Most Valuable Michael Jordan Cards
Michael Jordan’s most expensive trading cards.
Michael Jordan’s status as the greatest basketball player of all time makes him one of the most popular athletes among sports card collectors. Several of his cards have sold for seven figures, making them some of the most expensive sports cards ever sold. Here’s a breakdown of the 10 most valuable Michael Jordan cards.
The Most Valuable Michael Jordan Cards of All-Time
#1: 2003 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Autographed Game-Used Logoman 1/1 Michael Jordan PSA Authentic/Auto 10: $2,928,000
The most valuable Michael Jordan card is this autographed, game-worn Logoman card with an autograph grade of 10. As the first Logoman Autograph to feature Jordan in a Bulls uniform, the card sold for $2.928 million at Goldin in June 2024. While this card broke Jordan’s sports card record, he also holds the record for the most expensive sports memorabilia ever. His jersey from Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals sold for $10.1 million in 2022.
#2: 1997 Upper Deck Game Jersey Autograph Michael Jordan 6/23 BGS 8/Auto 8: $2,700,000
Limited to just 23 copies, this is Jordan’s first-ever autographed memorabilia card. The jersey is from one he wore during the 1992 NBA All-Star Game. In early 2021, another copy of this card graded a PSA 7/Auto 8 became the first Michael Jordan basketball card to sell for more than $1 million. However, that record was broken a few months later when a PSA 8/Auto 9 sold for $2.052 million in May 2021 and then again when this BGS 8/Auto 8 sold for $2.7 million at Goldin in October 2021.
#3: 2006 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection All-NBA Access Triple Logoman 1/1 Michael Jordan/LeBron James/Kobe Bryant 1/1 PSA Authentic: $1,680,000
This Triple Logoman is one of the most unique and valuable Michael Jordan cards. Jordan joins LeBron James and Kobe Bryant for the prestigious game-used Triple Logoman 1/1 card. The card is encapsulated by PSA with an Authentic label. Sold for $1.68 million at Goldin in August 2022, it is Jordan’s most expensive card that features him with other basketball legends.
#4: 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan #57 Autographed Rookie Card BGS 8.5/Auto 9: $1,008,000
The most iconic Michael Jordan card is his 1986 Fleer rookie card. He’s captured in the classic red Chicago Bulls jersey going up for a dunk. This card is even more special because it’s autographed and limited to 23 copies. Graded by BGS as an 8.5 with an autograph grade of 9, this autographed rookie card sold for just over $1 million at Christie’s in 2022.
#5: 1984 Star Michael Jordan #101 PSA 9: $925,000
While the 1986 Fleer card is widely regarded as Michael Jordan’s official rookie card, some consider this 1984 Star card his actual rookie card. The Star card is much more scarce, with only three copies graded a PSA 9 and none a PSA 10. This rarity certainly fueled the $925,000 sale in May 2024.
#6: 1997 Metal Universe Michael Jordan #23 Precious Metal Gems Green 9/10 PSA Authentic: $915,000
The Precious Metal Gems parallels from 1997 Metal Universe are some of the most valuable cards from the late 1990s. The print run for each player is 100 cards, with the first 10 serial-numbered cards coming in green foil and the remaining 90 with red foil. The foil on the Precious Metal Gems cards makes them susceptible to damage, so it’s very difficult to receive high grades on these cards. There are two copies graded a PSA 6.5 and none higher. This Jordan PMG green card encapsulated only as authentic sold for $915,000 at Heritage Auctions in 2020.
#7: 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan #57 Rookie Card PSA 10: $840,000
This classic rookie card is one of the most valuable Michael Jordan cards. As of this writing, only 325 copies have earned a perfect grade of PSA 10. The most expensive sale of a PSA 10 copy of this 1986 Fleer card was for $840,000 at PWCC in 2021.
#8: 2003 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Michael Jordan Limited Logo Patch Autograph 3/75 PSA 9/Auto 10: $780,000
The tri-colored, game-worn jersey swatch and clean autograph make this one of the most expensive Michael Jordan cards ever. This PSA 9/Auto 10 is the highest grade you can find, and the 75-copy print run makes the card even more appealing. This card sold for $780,000 at PWCC in 2021.
#9: 1997 Metal Universe Michael Jordan #23 Precious Metal Gems Red 56/100 BGS 8.5: $564,000
Like the green version of this card, the foil makes it hard to keep it in mint condition. BGS has graded 36 copies of this card — 11 receiving a BGS 8.5, 2 a BGS 9, and 2 a BGS 9.5. Of the 90 copies ever made of Jordan’s Precious Metal Gems Red card, this BGS 8.5 sold for $564,000 at PWCC in 2022.
#10: 2008 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection All-NBA Access Triple Logoman 1/1 Michael Jordan/Larry Bird/Magic Johnson PSA Authentic: $540,000
This Triple Logoman is the last card on our list of the most valuable Michael Jordan cards. It features three NBA Hall of Famers: Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson. Encapsulated by PSA as Authentic, the card sold for $540,000 at Goldin in 202
