Now that the 2025 NFL Draft is over and training camp is underway, collectors are looking forward to the release of new 2025 football cards! Here’s a look at products that are expected to come out in the next few months, as well as some of the top rookies in the 2025 class.
2025 Football Cards You Can Buy Now
The release of Score Football marks the start of every football season. The 2025 edition is now available, and it features a base set of 100 new rookies. There are also a variety of autographs, memorabilia cards, and inserts. Score is an affordable product that’s available in both hobby and retail formats. On average, each 2025 Panini Score Football Hobby Box includes 4 autographs, 50 rookies, 10 parallels, and 24 inserts.
The two other 2025 football card products that are out now are a step up from Score: 2025 Panini Luminance Football and 2025 Panini Donruss Elite Football. Both products are only available in hobby formats.
Luminance’s card design takes a back seat to highlight exceptional photography. The product also has three short-printed insert sets: Animation, Moments, and Prime Time. Each hobby box includes 3 autographs, 1 memorabilia, 5 parallels, 4 inserts, and 12 rookies.
The current line of Donruss Elite is a fresh spin on the classic foilboard product from the 1990s. The beloved Passing the Torch Autographs return, along with Pen Pals, Back to the Future, and even more ink. You can expect 2 autographs, 1 memorabilia, 11 inserts, 6 parallels, and 3 rookies in each hobby box.
2025 Football Card Products That Are Coming Soon
The next 2025 football cards to be released are the Donruss and Certified sets. The release date for 2025 Panini Donruss Football is August 2025, and 2025 Panini Certified Football is scheduled for September 2025.
Donruss is the less expensive, paper version of Donruss Optic, one of the most popular sets of the season. Rated Rookies are one of the main elements of Donruss, and there are 100 rookies in the base set of 2025 Donruss. The biggest draw in the set, however, is the Downtown insert. These short-printed inserts will be the best 2025 football cards on release day. On average, hobby boxes have 1 autograph, 1 memorabilia card, 12 parallels, 18 Rated Rookies, and 42 inserts. There will also be plenty of retail products available.
Certified is the next release on collectors’ calendars. This product is known for mirror parallels and rookie patch autographs from the Freshman Fabric Signatures set. There are also some super-short-printed inserts: The Mighty, First Round Certifications, and Night Moves. You can expect 2 autographs, 2 memorabilia cards, 2 rookies or rookie parallels, 3 numbered parallels, and 10 inserts in a hobby box.
Other Football Cards to Expect in the Coming Months
Although we don’t yet have release dates for any more football card products, we know some of the most popular products are coming soon! Historically, football card collectors can expect to see the following products in the next few months: Panini Mosaic, Gold Standard, Black, Origins, Absolute, and Prizm.
Mosaic is a staple of every football card season, coming in both hobby and retail formats. Gold Standard, Black, and Origins are higher-end boxes that deliver just a few serial-numbered, autographed, or memorabilia cards at a higher price point. Absolute is home to the Kaboom inserts, making it one of the most popular products of the season. Prizm is seen as Panini’s flagship set, making it even more popular. Hobby boxes can sometimes climb to four figures, but there are plenty of retail formats priced more reasonably.
The next batch of 2025 football cards is likely to include Panini Spectra, Obsidian, Phoenix, and Donruss Optic. Panini Contenders, Contenders Optic, Select, and One should come next.
The last football card products to release will be the ultra-premium products: Immaculate, National Treasures, and Flawless.

Avid card collectors know that rookies are the hottest thing in the hobby. Cam Ward and Travis Hunter were the top two picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, and they will be some of the best 2025 football cards to collect.
